Basic dog training is necessary for your canine friend; because if you neglect to give your dog the basic dog training then they will act like the animals they really are. Dogs can be great companions and that is why so many people have a household pet.

Dogs are great companions and it is nice to come home from a long days work and be greeted by their wagging tails. However you should never neglect basic dog training for your four legged friend.

So what is considered basic dog training?

Sit: You can teach your dog to sit on command and you will be amazed at how much your pet wants to please you.

Stay: Get your dog to stay on command and only come to you when you are ready for them to come to you.

Potty Training: If your pet goes indoors and outdoors you want to teach them how to let you know when they need to go outside to take care of business.

Barking: Of course your dog is going to bark when they are attempting to tell you something; however if your dog is barking excessively then they can eventually get on your nerves and your neighbors as well.

Digging: Your pet will tear up your back yard if you are not careful. If your dog is digging excessively it may be because they are bored and do not know what else to do.

Basic dog training is essential for any dog. When your dog is properly trained then chances are you will not have to worry about dealing with aggressive dog behavior problems. People who fail to train their dogs; then they end up with a dog who is misbehaving and acting up. Eventually the owner can not control them and that is how they end up in the shelters.

If you take the time to train your dog as soon as you introduce them to your household; then you will not have to worry about dog problems later on down the road.
