People who fail to give their dog obedience training are teaching their dog that they do not need to have any manners. Your pet is still a dog and many pet owners see them as a person. While I do consider my dogs a member of the family; I understand that they are not human and they need to be treated like dogs.

They are not allowed to run everywhere they want; when they are on the leash they understand that they have rules to follow. I do allow them to have some free time and will take them off the leash to give them their time; however they know that I am the boss and their canine behavior tells me that they respect me.
