Canine Behavior
Canine behavior is dependant on whether the owner of the pet provides to proper training; we all must remember that the dog is a descendant of the wolf. It is in their nature to misbehave and show signs of aggression. However if you want to add a member to the family by getting a dog; there is nothing wrong with that.
In fact there are over 600 breeds of dogs that families can choose from. Before you run off and begin picking out your puppy because she is so cute and cuddly it is important to know that your puppy is going to grow into a big dog someday and you will have to deal with canine behavior and trying to get your dog to be disciplined and well behaved.
Your pet is your best friend as a matter of fact it is in your dog’s nature to try to please you. They would be happy to spend their entire day with you if they could. However you should never neglect your canine behavior; you want your dog to behave around strangers and other animals.
Many people do not fully understand how to implement obedience training and that is the reason that their dog has taken control of the household. Your canine behavior will also depend on the dog and what the history of it is. If you have raised her since she was a puppy; chances are you will not be facing a lot of unusual behavior.
However rescued dogs that come from the shelter seem to have more canine behavioral problems than those who do not. Some of the reasons they seem to experience more problems than a typical dog that is raised in a loving family is because:
1. Neglect: Chances are they have been raised in a family that may have neglected them and possibly even abused them at the first sign of doing something wrong.
2. Fear: They may be fearful of humans because of the type of relationship that they have had in the past with them.
Regardless of why you want to add a new addition to your family; it is important to find out the history of the dog before you decide whether to add them to your family. Of course you can train her to behave correctly and get rid of the phobias that they may have; however unless you are willing to stay persistent on the training you could be facing canine behaviors that you may not want to have. i agree when you said “Many people do not fully understand how to implement obedience training…” because whenever i have new puppies, its always a norm to show them basic, like “yes” or “no” especially when they are biting things they are not suppose to so all my four dogs are very obedient and they knew when they did something wrong. however in my friend’s case, she got dogs that bites shoes, slippers, you name it! but she tried disciplining them once and when she see that they still do it, she just let them and her reason is that her dogs are just stupid. quite a pity, her dogs are very nice dogs but untrained.
