Dealing With Stubborn Dogs
When you are dealing with stubborn dogs it can be just as unbearable as dealing with aggressive dogs. Who likes to deal with a dog that does not listen? Does it seem as though your dog never listens to you or has selective hearing and only comes when they want to? Well if this is the case; then it is time to begin obedience training to teach your pet that you are the boss.
Whenever a dog does not listen to their owner; it means that they do not see them as the dominant one and that they have learned to believe that they themselves are the boss. However regardless of whether you are dealing with stubborn dogs; you can learn how to properly implement the obedience training that they require to begin listening to you again.
So if you are dealing with stubborn dogs and have come to the internet in hopes of being able to get your dog to listen to commands when you give them; it is time to begin command training.
One of the main reasons that a dog will become stubborn is because they have never been taught the commands and they have no idea that you want them to come to you when they are called. Dogs are usually very good at following commands when they are properly trained. However you still have some breeds that are naturally stubborn. I have a black Pug and she seems to want to come only when she really wants something; however as I continue to call her she will finally come to me.
She is properly trained; however she only seems to display this type of behavior when she does not want to go for a walk in the rain or she has been sleeping. It is important as dog owners that we take control of our pets and show them that we are the boss; otherwise we will lose control of them and their stubborn behavior can lead to more aggressive behavior.
Never let the dog get their way; if you want them to come and they fail to come it is up to you to show them that you are the boss and make them come to you. If your dog notices that you back down; this will just prove their dominance. Click Here
