There are over 600 breeds of domesticated dogs that live in america; that means that there are millions of families who have added a family pet and love their dogs. However when it comes to dog training and behavior; you should know as a pet owner that it is extremely important that you learn how to properly train your pet.

A dog who has proper dog behavior and training is one that is healthy and happy. The owner is also doing the right type of disciplinary action and they are happy as well. You can tell a dog that is trained properly and one that is not. If you are exhibiting aggressive dog behavior then it is time to invest more time in the dog behavior and training mode.

However before you become upset with your dog; you may want to take a look at yourself. Our dogs will pick up the traits of their owner. If you are stressed all the time or fearful of things then unfortunately your dog is going to pick up on those traits as well. Research shows that most dogs who are showing behaviorial signs are suffering from; phobias, stress, aggressiveness, and fear.

So before you can get your canine friend to deal with their problems; you as the owner have to be willing to work through your issues as well. We as humans always want to put the blame on our pets for acting the way that they do; however your dog is just acting like you.

Unfortunately if your dog is misbehaving and causing you frustration; they can not tell you what is bothering them. It is up to you as the owner to figure out what is wrong and attempt to correct the problem.

If you are learning about dog behavior and training; the best thing that you can do for your pet is to show them that they are important to you and to remain the dominant one in the household. They will eventually learn to follow your commands and listen to whatever you tell them to do. After all it is in a dog’s nature to please their owner. Click Here
