Stop Aggressive Dog Behavior Part One: Two Common Aggression Behaviors
As a pet owner you have to be willing to stop aggressive dog behavior when you notice it. A dog unfortunately even though we all consider then members of the family are instinctively aggressive by nature. They all have the instinct to hunt and defend themselves when they have to; after all they are all family and originate from the wolves species.
So if you begin to notice your pet portraying aggression it is extremely necessary to stop aggressive dog behavior before you let it go on too long. No one likes to deal with this type of behavior when their pet acts up; after all they do not want to cause their dog to be scared of them or to hurt them.
However there are ways to reprimand your friend without causing any harm. You would not let your child get out of control and come home and start yelling and throwing tantrums. This is how you have to treat this type of behavior that your canine friend is displaying as well.
Even though there are several types of aggression and you may not be able to detect all of them; I listed the two common aggressive behaviors you may be facing:
- Aggression towards family members
- Aggression towards strangers and other dogs
If you are facing these type of dog problems; then it is time to take corrective action. You may not want to believe it but if your dog does bite someone then you are help liable and unfortunately the person who got bit may be able to sue you.
So as a dog owner you want to be able to control your pet so that you will not have to face the consequences of dealing with the after math of what the aggression leads to. Now that you know what the two most common types of aggression behaviors are it is time to find out what you as the owner can do to stop this aggressive behavior.
