There is nothing more exciting than the day that you get a brand new puppy. However even the cutest puppy can grow into an aggressive dog. Millions of people turn to the internet in hopes of being able to answer the question “why a dog acts aggressive.”

As a pet owner myself the last thing I want to deal with is an aggressive dog; however the truth is that I have dealt with this issue in the past. It seems that everywhere I took my dog he had to begin trying to bite other dogs that were leashed up or that we encountered for no reason at all. I got to the point where I hated taking him out in public; in fact I would wait until I made sure there were no other animals out when I took him out.

Why a dog acts aggressive?

Here are some reasons that your pet could be displaying this type of behavior; if you notice that you dog is beginning to show these signs; then it is important to begin taking action to correct it. After all you are the one that is going to be held responsible if they do any damage to another pet or a a person.

Territorial: If they seem to begin barking or showing signs of aggression anytime someone approaches your home. Whether that person is a delivery person or anyone else. Yes we want our dogs to alarm us when someone approaches the home; however this is a big difference between alarming us and showing signs of aggression.

Lack Of Discipline: Dogs whether we like to believe it or not are like kids. If they get away with one thing then they will continue to do it or it will escalate into something else. It is up to us to teach our dogs the proper behaviors that we want them to have.

We as the pet owners are one of the main reasons that a dog acts aggressive. While most people will deny this fact; the truth is that the dog will take on your attitude or pick up your energy. If you want your dog to begin acting better or get rid of their behavioral problems; then it is time to properly train them.
